    Join the Saline Fiddlers for an unforgettable summer workshop experience! This fun, new program is designed to ignite a passion for Fiddle music in young musicians. This workshop is designed for those in 6-8th grades who have at least one year of experience on violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, or mandolin. Learn a variety of fiddle music from Saline Fiddlers past & present. Whether you have played fiddle music before or are just starting out, you’ll discover new skills and create beautiful music together. Program prerequisite: 1 year or equivalent of 5th grade orchestra, must have own instrument. On Thursday evening, August 7th, your family and friends are invited to join us for a dessert social where you will showcase the music you learned during the workshop. Class ID: 5050.   • Saline Fiddlers String Summit

    This four-half day course offers a unique opportunity for aspiring string musicians to experience the excitement and artistry of the renowned Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic. This workshop is designed for student string musicians, grades 9-11, who are interested in exploring different musical styles, enjoy performing, want to develop stage presence and seek to connect with other talented string players. During the workshop students will receive insight and guidance from Saline Fiddlers past & present, enhance musicality and build confidence as performers on violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar and mandolin. Students who express interest may also have an opportunity to learn Appalachian step dancing. Program prerequisite: performing in school orchestra program. On Thursday evening, August 7th, the students will showcase their newly acquired skills and share their musical artistry during a dessert social for family and friends. Class ID: 5051.
