    Registration for our 2024 Summer Camp is officially closed, no further contract requests are being accepted. Registration for the 2024-2025 school year opens at noon on Sunday 5/12 for currently registered families, and at noon on Sunday 5/19 for new families. School year and summer programming for children ages 5-12. Children must be 5 years of age on their first day of care. Children must be no older than 12 years of age at the time of registration request. School year programming includes before and after school*, and 1/2 day* after school programs. Before Care: $11 per session, opens at 6:45 am After Care: $13 per session, ends at 6:00 pm 1/2 Day Care: $30 per session, ends at 6:00 PM Summer Camp: $55 per session (sibling discount available), hours are 7:30 am-5:30 pm A $55 enrollment fee is charged each school year and summer season Fee assistance available *Located at each Elementary and Heritage school.

  • High School Girls Cross Country Summer Conditioning

    Summer conditioning is for athletes interested in getting fit for the coming fall. While the program is designed for cross country runners, we welcome athletes of all sports. Each day we will work on speed, strength, and endurance, and there will be training groups for all levels of running experience. Athletes are welcome to join us on the dates they can and may start at any point in the calendar. Instructors: HS Cross Country Coaches
  • High School Science Skills Sharpener

    This class is intended for students who need extra support entering high school science and/or students who found middle school science to be particularly challenging. Topics include asking scientific questions, designing labs to solve a problem, collecting and analyzing data real data, writing evidence-based conclusions, determining sources of error in experiments and learning the basics of lab safety and equipment. This hands-on, lab based course is a fun and engaging way to introduce students to science expectations at Saline High School. Participants are encouraged to wear clothes that can get dirty. Teacher: Sarah Stukey - These classes are not for credit, and are intended as a review/refresher of material from the previous year. - Classes will show a grade requirement that matches students' grades in the fall (i.e. a summer booster program for kindergarteners will show a 1st grade requirement, as they have finished/graduated from kindergarten) - When registering please select the applicable fee.   • Horseback Riding Lessons - English Discipline

    This package includes 6 weekly (1 hour) horseback riding lessons at Renaissance Equestrian Center. Scheduling will be flexible but we prefer to keep the same day/time each week. The 6 weeks start once you are contacted and confirm your lesson date and time, so this course has a flexible start date. Renaissance Equestrian offers lessons 7 days a week, year round. Whether you are a beginner or advanced rider, we will assign you a horse that meets your level of experience. Students should be expected to arrive 20-30 minutes early to learn how to tack up the horse. Lessons will include learning basic safety instructions while riding a horse, communication with the horse, and riding techniques.   • Intro to Science Writing Booster

    The class will work towards building a foundation for the writing skills that 7th graders will be using in science including making claims based on evidence and exploring different types of claims for different situations, using evidence to support a claim through comparing data points or explaining trends in data, and developing scientific reasoning for why students got the data they did. These skills are fundamental to CERs and ABCDE paragraphs that 7th graders will write in their classes next year. Students will also have the opportunity to create experiments and collect data to engage in these writing skills. This class will be rigorous while engaging and will require students to produce multiple writing products throughout. This class is ideal for students who may have struggled with writing in 6th grade or struggle with writing in science specifically.     Students will learn how to weld with multiple welding processes and will have the chance to leave with something they have welded! Students will need to wear jeans without rips/tears and their own leather boots that cover their ankles. Everything will be provided for PPE to weld in. We will purchase welding gloves and welding caps that they can take home at the end. Instructor: Blake Ballou

    This high school football camp is essential for prospective high school football players. Led by our coaching staff, this camp provides a comprehensive training program covering offense, defense, special teams, and essential skills. But it’s more than just mastering plays. Our camp is designed to strengthen players’ sense of team unity, pride, and commitment to excellence. Monday through Thursday throughout the entire summer we will have intensive strength and speed training sessions to enhance your physical fitness and performance on the field.   • Jr Hornet Sideline Cheer

    Cheer on the Jr. Tackle football teams this fall as a member of the Jr Hornet sideline cheer team! This program will teach beginner and intermediate cheer skills including stunting, tumbling, motions, and jumps. The season starts on August 5th and ends October 28th. (end date can vary based on the football schedule) Practices are not held on holidays, school closures, elementary open house and the week of the youth clinic hosted by the Saline Varsity Cheer program. Attendance is encouraged at all practices when possible. Games will be held on Saturdays in the fall and cheerleaders will participate in the Homecoming Parade!Some uniform necessities will be purchased separately. Registration fee includes the use of the fall uniform and poms for the duration of the season. Mandatory parent informational meeting Monday, July 15th at 6pm in the high school commons.
