    Empowering young minds through creative exploration. Join us for a transformative experience where budding artists thrive alongside expert mentors. This year we will be having theme weeks where all art that is created will involve the theme for the week. Theme of the week and dates of each camp are listed below. All Camps are Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 3pm. Campers will need to bring a lunch and a refillable water bottle every day. On Fridays we will provide pizza for all campers.Choose the camp you want to attend and get ready for a great time.     Students will learn to properly and safely use epoxy resin to make molds, painting and a cutting board with resin.   • Basic Drawing for Kids- Summer 2024

    This class teaches basic fundamentals early and can set your child on a path to developing their talent faster. We teach students to see and draw the basic shapes within a subject, then build it from the inside out. Learn how to shadow to create depth, and create more dynamic pictures with perspective drawing. Subject matters range from cartoons to wildlife, even the still-lifes are fun! Parents and caregivers can stay and draw for free, learn something together! Ages 6-11. Instructor: Keith McGuire

    This ongoing class is for beginning and intermediate painters. We will learn about materials, color mixing, values and layering. If you’ve had some experience with watercolors, we explore a variety of wet and dry brush techniques through demonstrations and hands-on teaching. Subject matter includes landscapes, wildlife, flowers, etc. Material list is provided below.     Bridge 4, the program where all 3 Elementary Schools will swarm together for 4th grade! Join us at Heritage School to get ahead of the game in meeting students from Harvest, Pleasant Ridge, and Woodland Meadows! Incoming 4th graders will learn how to use lockers with locker combs, tour the school, become familiar with the Specials classes (Art, i-Lab, P.E, Media), and build relationships with peers and the Heritage staff!     Goodbye Heritage Elementary halls, middle school is just around the corner! Take time to get ahead of the game, meet new incoming 6th graders and gain valuable tools to make the middle school transition smoother. Learn how to take proper notes, prepare for tests, manage your time, and build relationships with peers and faculty in an academic setting. Take a tour of the middle school!   • Bridge 9 Program

    Saline Area Schools transition to high school bridge program will help students to feel more confident upon entering the high school. Students will go over support staff, admin and where to reach these people in the school and how. We will review the school handbook, rules and general changes in expectations from MS to HS. Students will know where to go for the nurse, technology concerns or to get a work permit form. Students will look into extra curriculars, and sports available as well as general organizational strategies and what SHS offers in terms of tutoring. We hope that you will consider this two day program to assist in your student's transition and help them enter high school and feel successful.

    Brixology Camp sets the foundation for our next generation of makers! Children learn about different types of engineering and then team up to construct a different engineering-themed project using LEGO® bricks. We’ll learn about aerospace engineering while assembling a space station. We’ll explore mechanical engineering as we build boats and vehicles. That’s not all! From carnival rides to drawing machines, mechanical animals to truss bridges, your future engineer will build upon their creativity to solve real-world design challenges, while developing their problem-solving and team-building skills.     This summer chess camp is open to all levels. Beginners will learn piece movement, castling, check and checkmate, stalemate and more! More experienced players will focus on middle and endgame tactics, while learning some basic opening strategies. Students should bring a snack and water bottle. Instructor: David Cogswell

    Registration for our 2024 Summer Camp is officially closed, no further contract requests are being accepted. Contract Requests are being accepted for the 2024-2025 school year: Harvest is on a waitlist for Monday-Friday PMs, Pleasant Ridge for Tuesday/Wednesday AMs/PMs, and Woodland Meadows for Monday-Thursday PMs and Thursday AMs. School year and summer programming for children ages 5-12. Children must be 5 years of age on their first day of care. Children must be no older than 12 years of age at the time of registration request. School year programming includes before and after school*, and 1/2 day* after school programs. Before Care: $11 per session, opens at 6:45 am After Care: $13 per session, ends at 6:00 pm 1/2 Day Care: $30 per session, ends at 6:00 PM Summer Camp: $55 per session (sibling discount available), hours are 7:30 am-5:30 pm A $55 enrollment fee is charged each school year and summer season Fee assistance available *Located at each Elementary and Heritage school.

  • Dollpreneur: Business Building for Budding Entrepreneurs

    If you have a child who is interested in what it takes to build their own business, this class is for them! Taught by Mompreneur business owner, PR and marketing professional, author and business coach, Gaynor Meilke, this is a unique program that incorporates the fun of dolls (bringing a doll is optional) with business skill-building for entrepreneurial-minded kids. Over the course of 5 weeks, we will create a business plan for a business (for your child or their doll) using materials based on the book, The Market Ownership Method, by Gaynor Meilke, while having fun with related crafts, peer interaction, and snack breaks! Whether a child’s interest is in a baking or babysitting business or a STEM-related field we will explore these and other career options and at the end of the last class we will celebrate!     How do fairies learn to fly? They learn from each other and their other winged friends such as bees, butterflies and dragonflies. We’ll take a tour from a fairy-eye’s view of what it’s like to fly, care for wings, and then make some special fairy wing crafts of our own to take home.     This is a chance for young 5s thru 5th grade to practice and cheer with the Varsity cheer team at Saline! The kids will have a pregame performance, then be able to cheer the first half of a Varsity football game on October 4th. Coaches will let you know what time to arrive to the game for the performance! The clinic includes two practice days, cheering at a Varsity game, a tshirt and a bow!   • Getting Paid to Talk: An Introduction to Professional Voice Over

    If you’ve ever wondered how to begin in voice over part time, full time, or for supplemental or retirement income, this workshop is a great, upbeat and, most importantly, realistic first step. Our easy-to-access remote learning system will take you behind the scenes at Voice Coaches main studios, where we regularly produce voice over content for clients including Netflix, Discovery, HGTV, Disney, Lifetime, Nickelodeon, and many more. From audio books, training material, animation, and commercials to socially relevant content, television, and much, much more: today’s voice over field has become a great way to leverage your individual voice qualities and communication skills in a whole new way. This class also includes an opportunity to receive a brief one-on-one voice range and quality assessment with our instructor. We sincerely hope you’ll join our community of enthusiastic learners!     Join our Saline High School Girls lacrosse coaches and players for a youth and MS camp that will focus on skills, drills, game play and fun. Girls of all skill levels will have the opportunity to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced coaches and players who are dedicated to the development of each player. Whether your player is just picking up a lacrosse stick for the first time or aiming to refine their techniques - this is the camp for you.     This session is for incoming 9th - 12th graders. In these sessions, we will reinforce offensive and defensive concepts learned during the regular season. Players can expect a fair mix of stick work, chalk talk, competitive games, and some conditioning. Expectations for this group will be higher and will reflect a high school level program.
