Using their own body weight as resistance, students will stretch and strengthen muscles, ligaments and tendons. Using the rhythmic flow that is part of Jishukan Ryu, JuJitsu forms, students will improve their core strength, balance,flexibility, and concentration. Jishukan Chi allows students of ages 14+ to work at their own pace but is ideal for those over 40 that want body maintenance, rehabilitation, or stress relief without high intensity workouts. Starting SoonLearn to Play Pickleball - Winter 2023Adult RecreationHey, all of you adults looking for a fun, new activity to stay active, make new friends, and learn a new sport… come check out pickleball! It’s the fastest growing sport in the country. Pickleball is a combination of ping-pong, badminton and tennis, played on a smaller version of a tennis court with a paddle and wiffle type ball. In this one session, you will learn scoring, basic rules and begin to play games, along with having lots of fun. You don’t need to bring anything other than wear athletic apparel and court/cross trainer shoes to move around the court!Christy Howden and Wolverine Pickleball will be providing all of the equipment and instruction, including paddles and balls!If you have your own paddle though, you’re welcome to bring it as well, but don’t rush out to buy anything.
