Join the Fairy on the Fly Fairy Whisperer's Guild GatheringYouth EnrichmentAt each gathering we’ll share a story from Fairy on the Fly, discuss our fairy experiences and knowledge while crafting and enjoying some fairy-themed movement and snacks. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. LIGHT YOUR WINGS. January 22 & 28 - FAIRY HABITAT. An introduction to using the Fairy Force for good, we will create a home that can attract fairies. In this gathering Fairy Whisperers will create and decorate a fairy house and make furnishings for it. Fun, stories, and games as well as a light snack included. February 5 & 11 - SWEET TO EAT Using our fairy fun as our guide we’ll spread the magic of feeling good with healthy attitudes, body appreciation, self-love and learn how fairies use food as fuel. We’ll also make some self-care fairy-themed treats to take home and enjoy. March 11 & 19 - FAIRIES & QUEEN BEES. During this flight we’ll meet the fairies’ favorite winged friends, the honey bees while learning about them as well as how their communities are built on special social skills and self-assertiveness. We’ll enjoy some honey treats and bee-you-tiful crafts! April 15 & 23 - FAIRY SPOTTING 101. On this fairy flight we will create a Fairy Spotting kit and learn all about protecting the fairy hubs around us. We will then head outside to look for fairy habitats and help build some new ones. Bricks 4 Kidz After School Energy EverywhereYouth EnrichmentEnergy is Everywhere - Energy is essential to almost everything we do, from the lights in our homes and classrooms to the gasoline that fuels our cars. Introduce your students to the world of energy in all its amazing forms. In our 2nd fall session, we will explore many sources of energy from wind and solar power to biofuel and fossil fuel. Students will define terms like renewable, landfill, greenhouse effect and generator and build moving models of just some of the awesome ways we power our world. Starting SoonHornet ChessYouth EnrichmentIn Hornet Chess, students of all levels will learn and improve at chess. Students will receive structured lessons on common openings, tactic patterns, and endgame technique, along with ample time to play games with peers and receive immediate feedback. There may also be optional competitive opportunities in the fall for those who want to play in tournaments individually or as part of a Hornet Chess team.
