  • Boys Lacrosse Team

    Join Saline Lacrosse this spring! The boys lacrosse program plans to field teams at the 3/4th, 5/6th, and 7th/8th grade levels.They will practice on a regular basis starting March 11th and end in late May, Monday -Thursday with some games during the week and on weekends.     Choi Kwang Do is a dynamic, innovative approach to martial arts training. It is based on traditional martial arts philosophy that emphasizes the idea of personal development being paramount, rather than sports competition. We have incentives for good academic reports as well as good behavior at home and school.   • Girls Lacrosse Team

    We will have girls lacrosse teams for grades 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th and 5th-8th grade. Come join the team to learn the fun, fast paced sport of lacrosse, no experience necessary. Practices begin March 11th and are held Mon-Thursday 5:30-7:30pm, at Weber-Blaess field, unless it is a game day. The 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade team will practice two days a week (Mondays and Wednesdays) with a handful of games through out the season and potential opportunity to join a tournament! This team will be a developmental team. The season will end prior to Memorial Day weekend. Players must bring a lacrosse stick, eye goggles, and a mouth guard.     Interested in trying out for the boy's High school volleyball team this Spring? Join the boy's high school coach as he runs you through skill/ drills and scrimmages to get you ready! Grades 9th - 12th There will be 15 sessions
  • Heritage Track & Field

    Come learn the basics of track and field while learning life long lessons of teamwork and sportsmanship. All kids will learn about this fun sport, including proper running technique through drills and speed work. There will also be some time spent on various field events and relay work. Instructor: TBD
  • Horseback Riding Lessons - English Discipline

    This package includes 6 weekly (1 hour) horseback riding lessons at Renaissance Equestrian Center. Scheduling will be flexible but we prefer to keep the same day/time each week. The 6 weeks start once you are contacted and confirm your lesson date and time, so this course has a flexible start date. Renaissance Equestrian offers lessons 7 days a week, year round. Whether you are a beginner or advanced rider, we will assign you a horse that meets your level of experience. Students should be expected to arrive 20-30 minutes early to learn how to tack up the horse. Lessons will include learning basic safety instructions while riding a horse, communication with the horse, and riding techniques. The instructor will continue to advance the student as they progress throughout the lessons. Helmets will be provided. Instructor: Renaissance Equestrian Center

    Kick Start Karate

    The Kick Start Karate Program offers traditional martial arts training to children ages 6 through 12 and emphasizes self-defense, physical fitness, conflict resolution, team work and anti-kidnapping techniques. This program is designed specifically for children and teaches prevention first. It does not promote active aggressiveness, but teaches children to respect themselves, others and the skills they learn. There is no better program for kids! Wear loose fitting clothes. A responsible adult must remain in attendance during class. This class takes place at South-East Martial Arts Academy Saline, 6564 South State Rd, Suite 500, Saline.
  • Middle School Beginner Tennis Lessons

    Our Middle School Beginner Tennis Lessons offer a fun and educational introduction to the exciting sport of tennis, tailored for those new to the game. This course is designed to help you develop your skills and foster a lifelong love for tennis. After completion of the beginner course, enrolling for the Middle School Tennis Team is encouraged. Course Objectives: Basic Tennis Techniques: Learn the fundamentals of tennis, including proper grip, footwork, and basic strokes like forehand, backhand, and serving. Tennis Rules and Etiquette: Gain an understanding of the rules, scoring system, and tennis court etiquette. Learn how to play and compete with respect for your opponents. Course Duration: This course spans 6 weeks, with sessions held once a week for 90 minutes.   • Middle School Tennis - Spring 2024

    Boys & girls middle school tennis for grades 6th-8th! Players will have structured practices and learn skill development and compete in inter squad matches. There are limited seats available and they are open to both intermediate and experienced tennis players. Middle School Tennis is for players who can consistently rally both forehands and backhands, volley, and serve with regularity. Beginniners should enroll in the Middle School Beginner Tennis Lessons course. Team shirt provided to keep. Practices M/T/W 3:00-4:30PM. Matches could be played on some Fridays.     Would you like to get an early start on your track season sprint fitness? Come join coach Stafford for some focused work on some of the basic skills to become a better sprinter. This class will work on sprint fitness, run mechanics to include cadence work and agility, starting block work and relay handoffs.     The middle school track and cross country coaches will be offering a spring conditioning program designed to help track and cross country athletes get in shape and prepare for the spring track season. This positive team environment will focus on building endurance, speed work, improving form and technique as we gear up for the various events of track and field.   • Middle School Water Polo

    This is a great intro to water polo. This is for all skill levels, returning or non-returning players. There is no experience necessary! This is open to all 5-8th grade boys and girls from the Washtenaw area. Middle School water polo is made to build skills and relationships. We will learn new drills and skills and do some scrimmages. All you need is a swimsuit & towel! Girls should wear full-piece swimsuits. We are hoping to have fun while still being competitive. Many people including the coach did not have any swim background when they joined water polo. It is the most fun sport. Come try a tough sport that you will fall in love with!   • No School/Holiday Basketball Camp With Coach Hotopp

    Join Coach Hotopp to work on your basketball skills on your day off of school!! This camp is designed to introduce the fundamentals of the game of basketball in a fun and instructive environment. We will focus on ball handling, shooting, and passing through games and competitions! K-2nd Grade: This camp is designed for boys and girls in grades K-2. Your child will learn some of the basic fundamental skills of basketball while competing in fun & engaging games. Campers DO NOT need to bring their own basketball, but should bring their own water bottle. 3rd-6th Grade: This camp is designed for boys and girls in grades 3-6. We will focus on the fundamentals of basketball while also competing in fun ball handling & shooting competitions. Your child will also compete with their peers in competitive 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 game play. Campers DO NOT need to bring their own basketball, but should bring their own water bottle.
  • Sixth Grade Track

    Sixth grade track is for those students who may be interested in running track at the middle school and high school levels, or who simply want to learn more about the sport in a positive team environment. This program will allow sixth graders to participate in track meets, learn about the various events, and improve their current fitness level. Emphasis will also be placed on goal setting and proper training. We will meet at the MS Track (Crabtree Field). A MHSAA pre-participation sports physical dated on or after April 15th is required for all students who participate. Instructor: Saline Track and Field Coaches

    This basketball program is designed for all students right after school. Your child will have the opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of basketball and enhance their current skills in a fun atmosphere. All skill levels are welcome.   • Spring Youth Field Hockey League

    Join us for a FUN spring field hockey league for grades 3rd-8th!! (divisions are 3rd/4th, 5th/6th and 7th/8th). Teams will practice one night a week for 1 hour at Liberty Gym and play games on turf in Ann Arbor on Saturdays or Sundays! Game schedules TBD.Game shirts provided!! Space is limited!! Players must wear shin guards under their socks. Shorts, athletic shoes, and socks are standard team uniforms. Teams will be coached by the SHS FH staff and players. Spring Youth Field Hockey League Practices begin April 1st, games begin weekend of April 13th/14th and until June 1st/2nd. Grades 7/8 practice time: 4-5PM Grades 3/4 and 5/6 practice: 5-6PM

    The Youth Tumbling program offers classes for children to develop fundamental skills for any young athlete interested in cheerleading, gymnastics, or acrobatics. Activities encourage coordination, balance, and body awareness. Youth Tumbling classes focus on building basic skills, developing self-confidence, and having fun!
