Junior Theater will celebrate its 21st year this season by producing another musical piece this winter for grades 2nd-8th! We will mount this full scale musical production and in the process of learning and rehearsing the show will also concentrate on some important drama concepts including audition tips; effective use of voice, face, and body in character impressions; hands-on strategies and exercises for character development and developing relationships with other characters on stage; scene interpretation; creating emotional levels and pacing. We will also use this opportunity to familiarize students with basic stage areas and commonly used theater terminology and concepts. Parts will be assigned once class begins and performances will be held in Liberty Auditorium, March 20 and 21 at 7:00 pm and March 22 at 2:00 pm. Class ID: 5209. Instructors: Rebecca L. Groeb
