Come play card and board games, build with blocks, enjoy dramatic play, arts and crafts, games in the gym, and more, all in a school setting supervised by State of Michigan and Saline Area Schools vetted employees.
The purpose of the Community Education Volleyball League is to provide students with an opportunity to learn and develop volleyball skills, play games in an organized setting, understand good sportsmanship and teamwork, and have fun! We will be joining an outside league - the Tecumseh Youth Volleyball league. Practices will take place ONCE A WEEK on Tuesdays OR Thursdays at a Saline school but games will be played at Tecumseh High School, where we will compete against other schools in the league. Teams that are a part of the league are Tecumseh, Onsted, Hudson, Chelsea. A game schedule will be shared by the league.
This league is designed for both beginning and experienced players, and no previous volleyball experience is required. This league is open to all girls in grades 3-4 and 5-6 and boys in grades 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8. And will run 6 weeks of practices and 5 weeks of games. Beginning the week of September 8th practices will be held once a week on weekdays (practices will be scheduled on Tuesdays or Thursdays) and will run for an hour and a half. Practice times and locations may vary from team to team. Games will be scheduled on Sundays beginning on September 14th and run until October 19. Players need a jersey to participate in this league. Returning players may use their jersey from last year. New jerseys can be purchased with United Image Group at SalineSpirit.com. Volunteers are needed to coach each team!
Registration ends online Monday, August 25th. Information regarding teams, season and practices will be sent out by Friday, August 29th.
