“The play’s the thing!” Youth Theater Guild is a theater class for students in grades 2nd-8th grade. We will mount a full, non-musical/straight play production based on a popular children’s book. In the process of learning and rehearsing the show, we will focus on important drama concepts including: audition tips, effective use of voice, face, and body in creating a character, scene interpretation, creating emotional levels, and effective pacing. Students will familiarize themselves with basic stage areas and commonly used theatre terminology and concepts. Auditions for specific roles will take place once the class begins and performances will be held November 7 & 8 at 7:00 pm in Liberty Auditorium. Grades 2-8. Class ID: 5162. Instructors: Rebecca L.
