Participants should wear comfortable clothing appropriate for weather conditions including shoes or boots with heels, a shirt with sleeves and stretch or stirrup by pants. Also, please bring a riding helmet if you have one; otherwise, a bike helmet will work. One makeup session will be permitted during each session. This is an introduction to horseback riding. The class is one hour long, and we will work on basic horse care and stable management will be stressed. This includes hoof care tack used, grooming tools, horse colors and markings. The first class is an introduction with the group, letting children know what we will be doing each visit. We will have one or two horses to groom and get ready to ride.
