Come play card and board games, build with blocks, enjoy dramatic play, arts and crafts, games in the gym, and more, all in a school setting supervised by State of Michigan and Saline Area Schools vetted employees.
Junior Theater will celebrate its 20th anniversary this season by producing ANNIE, Jr. this winter for grades 2nd-8th! We will mount this full scale musical production and in the process of learning and rehearsing the show will also concentrate on some important drama concepts including audition tips; effective use of voice, face, and body in character impressions; hands-on strategies and exercises for character development and developing relationships with other characters on stage; scene interpretation; creating emotional levels and pacing. We will also use this opportunity to familiarize students with basic stage areas and commonly used theater terminology and concepts. Parts will be assigned once class begins and performances will be held in Liberty Auditorium, March 14 and 15 at 7:00 pm and March 16 at 2:00 pm. Class ID: 5209. Grades 2-8.
