Hornet ChessYouth VirtualHave your child join the millions of people who play chess every week online! In Hornet Chess, students will learn about different aspects of chess strategy, including opening technique, calculation, and analytical thinking. Students will also learn various chess tactics, including pins, forks, deflection, skewers, and forced checkmates. While there will be some structured lessons, more emphasis will be placed this term on giving students the opportunity to play each other for fun and receive live feedback from the teacher. Starting SoonVirtual Elementary Spanish TutoringYouth VirtualYour child will be having so much fun playing games, singing, doing projects, and reading...they will forget they´re doing it all in Spanish! New curriculum from the Storyteller’s Corner is constantly being added. Children gain confidence speaking the language while also having a great opportunity to socialize. Any questions? Email Señora Marshall at marshalg@salineschools.org. Complete beginners are welcome. Returning students experience brand new lessons (no repeats). Fee of $135 is for 10 sessions (30 min) each.
