Have your child join the millions of people who play chess every week online! In Hornet Chess, students will learn about different aspects of chess strategy, including opening technique, calculation, and analytical thinking. Students will also learn various chess tactics, including pins, forks, deflection, skewers, and forced checkmates. While there will be some structured lessons, more emphasis will be placed this term on giving students the opportunity to play each other for fun and receive live feedback from the teacher.
