Saline Community Education

Hornet Homeroom is designed to supplement school-based virtual learning, with no teachers or lessons provid­ed onsite. Hornet Homeroom is designed to provide a safe and socially distanced setting for students in grades K-5 to access their online instruction while parents are at work. Homeroom staff will oversee the learning environment and ensure students are engaged in their online lessons. Between classes, students will participate in socially distant day camp-like activities.

Hornet Homeroom will include separate study tables for each student separated by six feet. Prior to attending, each parent will share their child's schedule and video conference links with the Homeroom director. The Hornet Homeroom schedule will be arranged around each child's specific school learning requirements. Staffed by Saline Area Schools employees (non-teachers).  Please send a lunch and refillable water bottle with your child. A morning snack will be provided. Register at the school your child is assigned to this fall. Masks required at all times.
